One of the great things about technology is that it’s always giving business owners new and easier ways to reach their clients, run their companies, and make their work smoother and more efficient. Today, I’m going to share a list of productivity tools you can use to grow your business and make your life easier. You certainly don’t need to use all of them. But you might find that some of them make tasks you’re already doing easier. Or give you the ability to do something that previously seemed too difficult or time-consuming.
Here are 11 productivity tools to help you save time and get more clients:
Productivity Tool 1: Notablist
If you need some design inspiration for your email newsletter, you want to know what your competition is saying to their subscribers, or you have a specific area you want to learn more about, Notablist gives you access to over 10 million newsletters and 500,000 publishers.
You can also use it to observe trends in keywords, and filter your list of emails by subject, sender name, sender email address, URL, ESP, date, body text, Alexa rank, language and even color.
Productivity Tool 2: Teleprompters
When you’re creating a video, keeping eye contact with the camera through most of the run time makes you seem engaged and builds a connection with your viewers. On the other hand, constantly looking down or to the side to see your notes makes you look distracted. Because of this, it’s best to look at the camera as much as you can.
Unfortunately, this can be difficult if the video is long. Especially you aren’t good at ad-libbing or memorization. In situations like this, having a teleprompter can be invaluable, because it allows you to continue looking at the camera while reading your notes.
Productivity Tool 3: Kiwi for Gmail
If you love Gmail but hate using it on your phone, Kiwi for Gmail will make your favorite email client much easier to use by freeing it from the browser, turning it into a Mac desktop email client, and adding a suite of features that can compete with Microsoft Office 365.
Productivity Tool 4: Cast
Podcasts enable you to quickly provide valuable information to your audience in a convenient format. But if you aren’t tech-savvy, you might feel intimidated by the technological learning curve.
That’s where a tool called Cast comes in. You can use it to record, edit, host and promote your podcasts, all in one place.
Productivity Tool 5: Snappa
Images are vitally important in marketing. When they analyzed over 1 million articles, BuzzSumo found that articles that had an image once every 75-100 words got double the amount of shares that articles with fewer images did.
They also discovered that Facebook posts with images get 2.3 times more engagement than those without.
The bad news is, not everyone is artistically inclined or in possession of good image editing software.
The good news is, an image editor called Snappa provides access to 50,000+ HD photos and graphics, as well as templates you can use for your images.
It’s one of the easiest online graphics tools you’ll ever use, so even if you’re a complete beginner, you can still create eye-catching pictures that encourage engagement and shares.
Productivity Tool 6: Monday.com
Many people have complained that their companies’ project management and collaboration tools were difficult and chaotic to use. And that they made them feel like slaves to their spreadsheets and email. That’s why the team at Monday.com created a simple, graphical project management and collaboration tool to help you stay organized while giving you the freedom to work the way you want to.
Productivity Tool 7: Teachable
If you only serve clients one-on-one, your income and your impact on the world will always be limited. By creating a group program, you enable yourself to serve. You can serve (and get paid) by dozens, hundreds, or even thousands of people at a time. But if you do it without support, creating and selling a group program can take months of work.
I recommend using a program like Teachable to create and sell your online courses more quickly and easily than you could on your own. With just a few clicks, you’ll get a fully functioning school. A school that includes learning management, payment gateways, and tools for sales and marketing. You’ll still need to add your own content. But the process will be much easier.
Productivity Tool 8: TeuxDeux
This site, whose name playfully toys with the phrase “to do”, enables you to make simple, good-looking to do lists to help keep you organized.
Productivity Tool 9: NewShareCounts
If you want to display the number of Twitter shares you’ve gotten on your website, this tool provides a simple way to do that, and it works with several common plugins.
Productivity Tool 10: GitBook
If content creation is a big factor in your business, this tool might come in handy. Based on the popular GitHub tech, it helps your team to write, collaborate and publish content online.
Productivity Tool 11: Adobe Post
If Snappa doesn’t work for you, Adobe Post is another quick, beginner-level way to edit your graphics online.
